1931 - Tremaine Hughes
 
  
 
 
 
 
The troopers airwing was disbanded after the death of Tremaine Hughes. It was revived by the NYS Thruway in 1966-67 , when John F. Ryan was designated Chief Pilot. Andrew J. Liddle, Kenneth R. Earle & Robert C. Stoddard, were designated Technical Sergeants. They flew a 4 passenger Cessena Skyhawk painted Thruway blue & white.
