Division is trying out some new Chevrolet  “Police Cars” (Only PD’s can buy them) – 355 HP Motor, 6 speed trans, 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, Dual batteries with high output alternator, rear wheel drive with anti-skid & stability computer, heavy duty disc brakes and suspension. Larger driver compartment and large trunk. Cost approx.  $30,000. They are being built in Australia and shipped to the west coast.

Memo - 10-29-62 - Data from the field indicates that the 1962 Plymouth Patrol Car is light in the rear end and has a tendency to slide or skid sideways when a panic stop is employed.

Numerous complaints have been received of the poor handling and rear end sway while operating the 1977 Plymouth Fury. It was found that the U bolt nuts that hold the spring to the rear axel were not tightened to specifications.
